ReGen 2025 – Australia’s Circular Resource Expo

INTRO
On 23–24 July 2025 the International Convention Centre in Sydney hosts the first edition of ReGen, the successor to the long-running Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo. The event positions itself as the national meeting point for anyone involved in turning waste into resources: technology suppliers, asset owners, local- and state-government officers, corporate sustainability managers and finance providers. A two-day trade floor runs alongside a speaker program that covers emerging regulation, landfill-levy trajectories, product-stewardship schemes and the engineering detail needed to meet new recovery targets. With landfill costs rising and mandatory diversion rules tightening, ReGen offers a concise way to benchmark equipment, compare process routes and secure partners before capital budgets are locked in for FY 2025-26.
Attendance matters for another reason: the market is moving quickly from single-stream recycling to integrated circular-resource plants that accept mixed, contaminated and difficult wastes. Suppliers specialising in high-torque shredding, fine separation, depackaging, dust control, bulk handling and downstream energy conversion will demonstrate commercial lines operating today—not pilot concepts. For operators under pressure to deliver reliable throughput and verifiable recovery rates, ReGen is the most efficient place this year to test ideas against hard performance data.
Hard Recycle – Stand C15
Hard Recycle will use ReGen to present a cohesive set of European-built machines that convert complex feedstocks into clean, saleable fractions. All equipment on show is in commercial service somewhere in Australia, Europe or North America.
Size reduction and liberation are covered by ITR twin-shaft shredders for tyres, plastics and municipal solid waste; Wagner single-shaft units for non-ferrous and e-scrap; and MLS Makina hydraulic shears for off-the-road mining tyres up to four metres in diameter.
Screening and grading rely on Zemmler double-trommel technology, which produces up to three fractions in one pass with deck changes taking less than 30 minutes.
Depackaging and washing come from Tecnofer, whose paddle mills separate organics from packaging while washing and polishing polymer flakes.
Clean conveying and ancillary separation use ARP enclosed screw systems and Lanner centrifuges that cut residual oil on metal swarf or liberated tyre wire to below two per cent by weight.
Bulk storage and dosing are handled by AZO silos and loss-in-weight screws, accurate to ±0.5 per cent, ready for feeding crumb rubber, refuse-derived fuel or organics slurry downstream.
Dust and odour control depend on OMAR reverse-pulse baghouses fitted with optional activated-carbon polishing to keep workplace air within current emission limits.
Fine milling and e-scrap reduction employ Erdwich hammer mills that take circuit boards, refrigeration units and lithium-ion cells to sub-ten-millimetre particles for density or eddy-current separation.
