Single-Shaft Shredding Machines
SHREDDERS
Primary Single Shaft Shredding Machines – ITR HORUS Series
The ITR HORUS primary single-shaft shredder is a heavy-duty volume-reduction solution built around an electro-welded steel frame and adjustable, trapezoidal rotor blades opposing a fixed counter-blade. With configurable screen sizes from 30 mm to 400 mm, it delivers a homogeneous output in a single pass. A hydraulic-powered radial pusher prevents bulky items from “floating,” while an automatic reverse-rotation system clears blockages, ensuring continuous operation under even the toughest conditions.
You can specify either a hydraulic transmission or a high-efficiency electric drive. The hydraulic option provides maximum torque, shock absorption and real-time speed adjustment, plus overload protection via automatic reverse mode—ideal for dense, hard-to-shred materials. The electric motors cut energy use by up to 50 percent, run at under 80 dB, and eliminate belts, filters and oil changes, so maintenance demands and operating costs remain exceptionally low.
Designed to process an extensive range of inputs—metal profiles and ferrous scrap, WEEE, ELTs, municipal and industrial waste, paper, wood, rubber and hazardous solids—the HORUS series adapts to diverse recycling and waste-to-energy applications. Its integrated PLC lets you dial in rotor speed and feed parameters precisely to the material mix, optimising throughput and efficiency.
The uniform particle output lends itself to downstream RDF production (for cement kilns or power stations), industrial recycling lines (magnetic or eddy-current separation), additional grinding or screening, and compact, cost-effective disposal. By combining power, configurability and low energy and upkeep requirements, the ITR HORUS shredder delivers both operational resilience and easily demonstrable cost savings.

It features a heavy-duty rotor with replaceable blades, advanced hydraulic feeding, and safety mechanisms, enabling steady shredding with minimal maintenance and reduced operating cost.
Pegaso is available in two models: the Pegaso 150 and Pegaso 250. Pegaso 150 is powered by a single 90 kW motor, with a rotor diameter of 520 mm, cutting length of 1,500 mm, hopper volume of 2.5 m³, filling opening of 2,300×1,700 mm, and weighs around 9,500 kg. It retains three grid units and roughly 59 cutting blades using 60×60 to 80×80 mm knives. The larger Pegaso 250 uses two 90 kW motors, maintains the same rotor dimensions, extends the cutting length to 2,450 mm, expands hopper volume to 4 m³, and weighs about 16,000 kg. It features five screen units and approximately 79 rotor blades.
The Pegaso series is built for high-capacity applications where robust shredding performance is required. With a heavier frame and dual-motor options, Pegaso delivers coarse yet uniform size reduction across a range of waste streams, including bulky plastics, metals, and mixed industrial materials. Like the Lince, it offers configurable rotors and blade arrangements for operational flexibility. Both series reflect Silmisa’s commitment to durability, safety, and energy-efficient design, ensuring reliable long-term performance in demanding recycling environments.

Single Shaft Shredding Machines – TECNOFER Plastic Shredders
TECNOFER’s Industrial Shredder is a heavy-duty machine engineered for reducing various plastic materials—including films, rigid plastics, pipes, and bulky items—before they enter the washing and recycling phases. Built with a robust steel frame, it can process both light and thick plastic feedstocks, delivering consistent throughput and accommodating diverse input forms such as bales or lumps. A high-torque drive powers a cutting system of rotating blades and fixed counter-blades, which can be adjusted to maintain optimal blade clearances and limit material buildup. The large feeding hopper improves material flow, lowers the risk of blockages, and supports continuous operation. Maintenance and safety measures are incorporated into the shredder’s design through quick-access panels and strategic service points, simplifying blade changes and routine checks. Safety covers, emergency-stop systems, and overload-protection features further protect operators and minimize downtime. The Industrial Shredder can be paired with other TECNOFER machines—like washing tanks and friction washers—to form an integrated plastic recycling line. With various rotor lengths, drive powers, and configurations available, this versatile system accommodates different capacity requirements while providing a reliable, durable solution for effective plastic size reduction.
