Safety Equipment and Components OMAR – Safety

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Spark Detectors | OMAR SD

O.M.A.R.‘s spark detection and extinguishing systems are safety devices installed within suction ducts.
They consist of highly sensitive light sensors that detect sparks, hollow cone extinguishing nozzles with shutters, and a control unit.
The system can remotely transmit alarm signals, enhancing overall safety by quickly identifying and extinguishing sparks to prevent potential fires.

Dust Detectors | OMAR DD

O.M.A.R.‘s dust detectors are pre-calibrated microprocessor-based triboelectric probes, equipped with two optically isolated digital outputs, an RS485 serial line for configuration and data download, and a set of LEDs for operational status indicators.
They are typically installed in exhaust stacks to monitor and signal abnormal dust emissions.

Isolation Valves | OMAR IV

O.M.A.R.‘s isolation valves, certified to ATEX standards, are designed to halt the propagation of explosions.
These valves are installed in suction ducts near filters and operate mechanically, triggered by the back-pressure of an explosion.
Constructed from thick sheet metal and externally reinforced with plates, they are then painted for added durability.

Passive Protection Diaphragms | OMAR PPD

O.M.A.R.‘s passive protection diaphragms are certified safety systems compliant with ATEX 2014/34/EU standards, made from AISI steel sheet, and include a coupling flange and rupture points.
They are typically installed on filtration systems, pre-separation systems, and suction ducts when the treated pollutant is potentially explosive.
The diaphragms are available in various sizes and configurations to meet client specific requirements.

OTHER SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Fire Dampers

Fire dampers are designed to stop the spread of fire for a specified duration (REI rating). They are made from fire-resistant and flame-retardant materials and can be activated by a fusible link or a temperature sensor. These valves are installed in suction ducts at the building’s partition walls to prevent the spread of fire through the ventilation system.

Chemical Fire Suppressors

Chemical suppression systems can quench a potential explosion during its propagation. They consist of cylinders containing extinguishing agents, controlled by pressure switches and a management unit. This system also ensures compartmentalisation, enhancing safety by isolating affected areas.

Temperature, Pressure, Vibration, Rotation, and Level Sensors

Temperature, pressure, vibration, rotation, and level sensors are safety components that monitor critical points within a system. These sensors can be either digital or analog and offer various sensitivity levels based on specific requirements. They ensure reliable operation and safety by providing continuous oversight and data on essential parameters within the system.
